Yep, new to GiGA but not new to how forums work.

Some of you might know her, some might not, but I'm TsukikoRain's little brother. (Do I really qualify as little though? I'm at least half a foot taller than her and twice her size, but like...she's got about 2 years on me)

Game Interests:
-Phantasy Star Online, played since 2002 and now playing Blue Burst
-Ragnarok, I'll only play a specific private server though
-Okami, I don't care what the reports say, that game was awesome
-Super Smash Brothers, haven't met a person yet who could beat me

That's just general introduction though. Anyway I'm happy to have signed up here, and hope to get to know a lot of you better.

Welcome.

And Okami is awesome. XD

I'm the crazy guy who likes weird Japanese things like Sakura Taisen and Comic Party.

I'm also currently obsessed with Disgaea, and occasionally play World of Warcraft.

Many welcomes.

Somehow I'd gotten the impression you were an older brother - not sure why - maybe because Tsukiko types more cutesy and you're more mellow?

Anyways - nice games there. PSO is a long time favorite of mine. What did/do you play? Were you on Dreamcast at all?

Smash Bros eh? Heh - I'd like to see you in a match against LW.. .....he needs someone to be able to beat him at something besides just me at Puzzle Fighter occassionally.... Do you stick with a certain character? Which is your fav? *waits to see Link vs Solid.... *crazy-never-seemed-like-it-would-happen dream comes true* mwahaha...*

Well, many welcomes - as I said - and please let me know if there's anything we can do for you or that you'd like to do here, ok?

Nice to meet you.

Brother: Yeah, I'm her little brother, and I'm not nearly as smart as I might seem =\ I've just been online long enough to know how to talk like a normal person.

PSO: It's been a long time favorite. Although I never knew about it when it was out for Dreamcast, I did start playing it almost as soon as it came out for Gamecube. (There was a preview for it on a little disk in my Nintendo Power back in 2002)

Other Games: Well...I started gaming on Sega Genesis. My friend Sean and I would sit around playing Bubsy the Bobcat on rainy days. Ah...memories. After that I went to N64, picked up on the Mario games. Conker's Bad Fur Day was another personal favorite. Such violence. Afterwards, being on Nintendo, I got a Gamecube. Took a year or two to get a PS2, and then an Xbox. I still don't have Wii, PS3, or X360, but chances are I'll get the Wii just for the sheer fun of some of the games I'm hearing about (Super Smash Bros Brawl, in particular)

SSB Melee: When I first started playing this, I was overwhelmed by the fact that you could play as Bowser. He immediately became one of my favorite characters. Of course, I also used Kirby and Fox, which were my 2 choice characters back in N64. Nowadays I have one character: Luigi. His loose movement style and aerial tactics are amazing if you get good enough with him.

With Luigi, I've never lost a fight. I've personally never been in a tournament, but I know a lot of people who play SSB Melee. Two of my friends use Falco and Marth, both with extremely cheap damaging tactics, and I dont even break a sweat when fighting them. In a 5 stock match, they can't get me down past 4.

As soon as I've knocked people into the air, they're as good as dead.

...God, listen to me blab on about SSB Melee. Sorry about that, when I get into a subject, It'll be pretty damn lengthy.

Anyway, yeah, nice to meet you. I hope I'll get to know you better during my time here.

Ooo - Organizing reply post.. I like.

Ah - I remember Bubsy. There were alot of games like that back then - Gex, James Pond, Cool Spot (Which I'm still amazed they put so much effort into being just a promo game.. haven't seen such care since - except maybe in Sneak King.... *hides*)

Yeah - Kinda went the Nintendo route myself - especially after Sega 'dropped'. Still no Xbox or PS2 - but I love me Gamecube, DS, and the Wii I'm shamelessly borrowing until I'm finished with Twilight Princess. I miss the Genesis --> Dreamcast - they had alot of fun titles on them.

I would love a remake of Wonderboy (V) in Monster World (III) but that's really more than likely never ever going to happen since only myself and those two brothers in England care about that game at all.

Yes, I love Bowser so was drawn to him even though I usually like smaller, more agile characters. Yoshi was an old favorite too .. kinda have a thing about Dinosaurs.. Anyways - back in high school and college when we'd gather 'round and played for fun - I somehow got pegged into having my regular character be "Luck O' The Irish" Pikachu even though I'm not that huge on Pokemon. It was fun though - especially when people would crowd over to the other side of the screen yelling "OH DEAR GOD - PIKACHU'S GOT A GUN!!!"

Those really are fun games.

Don't worry about blabbing on - we like that here. Feel free to do so as much as you like when Brawl comes out. We'll probably join in.

Glad you made it on here - hope to know you better as well.

I feel the same, while I enjoyed Nintendo I was a SEGA devotee. Then they stopped making consoles, and then Sammy bought them out.

It's been dark dark days ever since.

Scared - Ghost

Poor poor SEGA...

Welcome XII.
Pity I can't match my skills against any of you in Melee. I wouldn't win, but I'd at least irritate you with Bowser and Mewtwo.

Hehe, it's sad that I can never find a proper challenge.

Actually, in my earlier days, Tsukiko was always my rival. She used Zelda/Sheik a lot, and the only time I beat her (Before I started using Luigi) was when I was using Fox, bringing up her % by using his laser.

And wow...I get to talk too much here, and people won't get mad?

Yay!

Aww..

Yes!! Talk away!!! : D

Hm.. I wondered - I liked that they did Zelda/Sheik in Smash Bros.. I wonder if they'll ever do Human Link/Wolf Link... Would that be any good or just cool but not practical? Mauling could be fun though..

Hmm...I'd say Wolf Link would be cool but not practical, like you said.

I think I remember they had a Nintendo Forum where you could give suggestions for characters...I should've given my ideas.

I just hope Nintendo's didn't bend to the will of some couple hundred who thought Nintendogs would make perfect characters in SSBB

But uh...as for the stuff I've heard

-Snake, omg that's awesome. And he even uses the cardboard box!! Wee!!

-More Fire Emblem characters...for starters, I made this section pretty long because I start to go off topic...sorry...this may seem harsh but I think Marth and Roy were good enough. Now they're just feeding Fire Emblem to us through a sippie cup. Part of me likes the fact that Fire Emblem came to the US, and part of me hates it. On one side, Fire Emblem. Awesome. SSBM started it. On the other side, it's catching on to the "snooty" anime and game fanatics. You know...do you have any kids at your school/college or any annoying people at your work place who always talk about a certain game/anime, didnt start until right after they got the American Versions, and look down on everyone who doesn't know...uh...okay I lost myself in grammar errors there but you know what Im going at right? Theres a group of about 10 of those people who hang out right where I sleep before school, and I cant get a bit of shuteye with them talking about how they just beat a certain part of a Fire Emblem Tactics, or what happened on Bleach the previous Saturday. Sorry...lengthy, and went off topic.
-Wario, Im not 100% on this but I think it'd be a good thing. In these past few years, Wario has really separated himself from Mario with all the WarioWare stuff.
-In both SSB and SSBM there were (False) rumors about Sonic and Tails. There's already rumors saying they're in the game, and there might be (Im too lazy to look) solid proof. Of course...they'd have to cut a deal with Sonic Team. Snake isnt a good enough example of a non-Nintendo character, since the guy who made Metal Gear Solid was a huge fan of the SSB games and tried to get Snake into SSBM, but they were too far into development.

There's my two cents, probably not even worth that much. And I dont know if ALL of my info is solid. I have nothing better to do before school and so I check up on all the forums I visit.

Yeah, I kind of feel the same about Fire Emblem...

Gah.. Nintendogs are cute but should stay in Nintendogs.........

Wario'll be good - despite my distaste for crude toilet humor.. ¬¬

I'm mostly excited about Snake. Really really excited... ~ Heart I love Hideo - he's so fun!! XD ~ Heart

Hm.. not sure how I'd feel about Sonic and Tails being in there.. I love Sonic characters.. but it'd kind of start to feel like just some professionalized version of Mugen to me for some reason. They just don't seem like they'd make good characters for Smash Bros at all and I'm not sure why.

I did hear rumor that Pit from Kid Icarus was going to be in it - almost certain actually - which should be cool. I remember playing that game.. and that the invincibility code was something like 8auuuuuu... posted in Nintendo Power back when the game came out, but I never could get it to work.. ah well ^^;

Hmm... suggestions for SB charas.. that's a fun topic!

Well, Lonewolf made his suggestion... Bikini-clad Samus with her original hair color... ;p

Hm.. I wanted Solid .. but I got that already. For silly reasons I'd love Leon from RE to be in there too, but.. That's really just kind of a silly idea... *cough*

Hmm. Who's vital that's really -missing- ... I mean, it's not like we should just throw in all the charas like Megaman and Simon Belmont from the old Captain N show... especially since they aren't Nintendo anyway..

That'd be.. special. I guess Kid Icarus reminded me of that..icus. ¬¬

Hrm. I think it'd be cool if Bowser could through his Koopa kids from 3 around the stage or something as a new projectile.

...why is this topic making me feel old? XP

Iconic is the key for Smash Bros.. Someone iconic.....

Bub and Bob from Bubble Bobble? They're Taito but still..

Chubby Cherub is scary as @#*$.

Um. Ninja Baseball Batman?

>>;

I have no clue. I've got who I want in it already. SO .. there.

*nod*

*falls over*
